Ex-Rangers and Larne boss Shiels off to Thailand

Kenny Shiels has left his position as Head Coach at Forth Valley Academy to become boss Thailand Premier League outfit Tero Sasana.

Shiels, a former manager of both Carrick Rangers and Larne, led Kilmarnock to Scottish League Cup success with a 1-0 win over Celtic in 2012.

“It is a great honour to follow in the footsteps of Sven Goran Eriksson and Avram Grant and join such as exciting club in the Thai Premier League. I am looking forward to the new experience and to working with the squad to hopefully bring success and silverware to BEC-Tero Sasana,” Shiels told the Tero Sasana website.

The Upperlands man won the County Antrim Shield with Carrick in 1993 and took charge of Larne in the 2005-06 season.
