The Northern Ireland Football League released the 2014-15 Championship 1 fixture-list this afternoon, pairing Larne with Ballyclare Comrades on the opening day of the season.

Eddie Hill’s men will travel to Inver Park for what promises to be an enticing curtain-raiser on Saturday, August 9 (3 pm kick-off).

Gary Haveron’s Carrick Rangers entertain Donegal Celtic, the team they took on in their final match of the last campaign.

Notable dates for the diary include Larne’s trip to Taylor’s Avenue on August 23, with the retrun fixture scheduled for December 27.

Jamesie Kirk, now in charge of newly-promoted PSNI, will prepare his squad for battle against former clubs Carrick and Ballyclare at Newforge on November 1 and 8 respectively.

In the final round of games on April 25, Carrick host Dundela, Larne are at home to PSNI, while the Comrades travel to Ards.

A full list of fixtures can be found on the NIFL website
