Islandmagee bagged their fourth draw in as many matches in Tuesday night’s stalemate at Nortel in the Premier Division.

It was basement club Nortel’s first point of the season while the new-look Islanders occupy eighth spot.

At Haslett Park Barn United slumped to a 3-0 defeat to Larne Tech Old Boys in Division 1A. Dylan Monaghan got the ball rolling in the fourth minute before Kele McAuley added a second-half double.

“It was the level of performance that we should be getting to,” said Tech boss, Johnny Hastings. “It was night and day compared to Saturday’s defeat.”

The Tech are now readying themselves for a home test against unbeaten Dunmurry Rec this weekend. Barn, meanwhile, have the distraction of the first round of the Irish Cup - away to Moneyslane.

In Division 1B, Wellington Rec came out on top in a nine-goal thriller at home to Rathern Rangers, while Mossley won 4-1 at Newington Rangers in 1C.

Elsewhere, 18th Newtownabbey continued their impressive start to the new campaign with a 1-0 victory at Iveagh United.
