Denis Doran hosted his Captain's Day last Saturday at Cairndhu Golf Club. Peter Callaghan took advantage of the favourable early morning conditions to record the winning score of 40 stableford points, in fact all the prize winners came from the early morning starters.
Brian Galway won the gross prize shooting a one over round of 35 stableford points which truly expresses the current difficulty of the East Antrim course. Other prize winners where as follows, 2nd gross John McKinstry, Charlie Robinson, Brian Browne, Stephen Taggart, Paul Stinson and William Boyd.
Club Captain Denis Doran would like to publicly congratulate Vincent Magill and his green staff for their hard work and efforts to present the course in its splendid state for his Captain's day event, considering the very poor weather conditions during the recent weeks it was a credit to them all.
