Pips Larne wish to thank everyone who supported our darts tournament and fund-raising day at the St Comgall’s club on November 24.

We would like especially to thank the traders in Larne and the Moyle district. More than 90 businesses made either monetary donations or supplied items and vouchers for our ballots.

Grand prize draw winners are as follows: first prize, a P&O return trip, was won by Philip Magee; 2, a lamp supplied by Allens Instyle Decor - Ciaran O’Toole; 3, for meal for two and a bottle of wine at The Londonderry Arms Hotel - Tootsie Ferguson; 4, meal for two at the Ballygally Castle Hotel - Saun McIlwaine; and 5, a tattoo by Diamondback Tattoos - Sharon Steenson.

We are very grateful to John Longmore of the St Comgall’s club for all his hard work in making this day such a success. We raised an amazing £1,200 - all of which will go to helping those in distress in Larne and the greater Moyle district. We also benefited on the day from a £500 donation from the Shorts Foundation, a £50 donation from Robert Wilson, a £30 donation from David Wallace and a £20 donation from Emma Thompson.

Our thanks also to all the players who took part in the Andrew Bird individual darts tournament, won by Alan McGarry, who received the trophy from Bill and Frances Bird.

Pips Larne would like to wish everyone a peaceful and joyful Christmas and urge anyone who finds themselves in distress, please do not hesitate to contact us on 07530797716.
