Councillor Maureen Morrow hosted the Larne Mayor’s annual charity gala ball in the Londonderry Arms Hotel, Carnlough, recently.
The first citizen was joined by fellow councillors and guests whose purchase of tables of the night, along with a raffle and auction have helped to raise more than £3,000 to date for the mayor’s chosen charity for her year in office, Larne foodbank.
Cllr Morrow said: “I am delighted that so much has been raised and we are still receiving donations at the council offices.
“I am very grateful to everyone who contributed items for the auction and raffle.”
The event was self-financing, with a drinks reception sponsored by the hotel, table wine sponsored by McCabe’s Wines, and the meal was paid for by the dinner guests.
