Calling all young bakers! Why not try your hand at baking and decorating your own cupcake and enter it at the All Saints’ fete on Saturday?

The competition is open to all children – just bring your home-made creation along to the Linn Road church by 2pm. Judging begins at 2.30pm.

If you can’t bake, come along and ice a pre-made cupcake at the cake-decorating stall and give it to someone as a gift.

The cupcake challenge is just part of the annual parish fete which will take place this Saturday, June 7, from 1.00 pm until 4.00 pm.

There will be a performance from Magheramorne Silver Band plus many other attractions such as a bouncy castle and target football competition - with a World Cup-themed Brazil football to win - craft stalls, face painting, teas and coffees.

In addition, there will be a high quality raffle with some really great prizes to be won .

You could be in with a chance to win a two-night stay at the Ballygally Holiday Apartments, a £100 Russell’s Shop 4 You voucher, an original painting by a local artist and a carvery meal for two at the recently refurbished Ballygally Castle Hotel.

Other popular stalls include the barbecue , which is kindly loaned by Marty McToal, tombola, toys, cakes, and plants, with stock donated by Inver Garden Centre at Millbrook.

A warm invitation is extended to everyone to go along to this annual, family-friendly fun event at the Linn Road church.
