The winners of the “Superdog” event held at Carnfunnock Country Park on Saturday, May 4 have been announced.

Dog with the waggiest tail - 1. Bella (Elaine Hartnett, Larne); 2. Ollie (Tyler Eaton, Carrickfergus); 3. May (Liz Doherty, Carnalbanagh); 4. Bobby (Emma Brownlee, Newtownabbey).

Dog with the saddest eyes - 1. Fabian (Steven Ramsey, Larne); 2. Spartacus (Dionne Morris, Rathcoole); 3. Charlie (Evie Hughes, Larne); 4. Rosie (Charlotte Meban, Larne)

Dog with the biggest ears - 1. Charlie (Evie Hughes, Larne) 2. Casper (James Buchanan, Larne); 3. Roxy (Jonny Crymble, Ballycarry; 4. Rollo (Claire Pritchard, Ballycarry).

Dog most like Its owner - 1. Scruff (Joanne Stewart, Larne); 2. Tuppence (Patricia McQuade, Larne); 3, Oscar (Jackie Barr, Larne); 4. Daisy Bee (Tia Wilson, Larne).

Dog the judge would like most to take home- 1. Tess (Joanne McBratney, Larne); 2. Missy (Joanne Doherty, Whiteabbey; 3. Charley (Sharon Kelly, Larne) 4. Buster (Shona McAlary, Coleraine).

The members of Latharna Canine and Dog Training Club would like to thank all those who supported this event. A special thanks to Larne Borough Council, and in particular, Zoe Lindsay and her staff at Carnfunnock Country Park; and also to Olive Nelson, of Barking Mad Grooming Pad, Maurice McIlroy, Firgrove Boarding Kennels and Cattery and Ralph Gault who contributed prizes or sponsorship for the event.

A total of £350 was raised for the work of the Dogs Trust in Northern Ireland.
