Big-hearted staff from Larne-based company, Stealth Translations Ltd, have raised £700 for the Stroke Association charity.

Grace Weir and Paul Stewart - from the company based at LEDCOM,Bank Road - embarked on the challenges of an abseil and skydive to raise much-needed funds for the Northern Ireland-based charity.

Stealth Translations provide translation services to manufacturers and distributors across a wide range of industry sectors who require linguistic services for marketing, legal, informational and operational purposes.

Caroline Greer, corporate partnerships manager for the Stroke Association said; “Thank you to Stealth Translations for choosing to support Stroke Association as their charity of the year.

“The partnership will not only raise much-needed funds but will really help raise awareness of stroke in the Larne community.

“Well done to Grace and Paul for being such dare devils and raising such an impressive amount!”

Grace Weir, director, commented; “We decided to fundraise for the Stroke Association to help make a positive difference to those who need our support in dealing with life after stroke.

“Fundraising has been so much fun, especially the Skydive which we both thoroughly enjoyed and are glad to be given the opportunity to contribute to the Stroke Association in this way.”

Caroline added; “It is vital that we work towards a future where there is an abundance of support available for everyone affected by stroke - practically, emotionally and financially.

“This currently isn’t the case in Northern Ireland – stroke survivors, carers and family members combined, there are a minimum of 70,000 local people currently in need of support to help deal with the impacts of stroke.”

A partnership with the Stroke Association can educate your employees on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and how to reduce their risk of stroke.
