LARNE’S Irish Cup winners - the Class of ‘87 - were reunited at Inver Park for a 25th anniversary dinner.

Compered by Jackie Fullerton, the event was attended by most of the team who defeated Coleraine 2-1 all those years ago, including striker Paul Hardy whose winner clinched the famous old trophy for Larne.

The Larne team that day comprised Vincent Magee, Paul Carland, Tommy Houston, Trevor McMullan, Harry Kernohan, Ian Bustard, Bryan McLaughlin, Francis Smyth, Paul Hardy, Eddie Spiers and Davy Smyth.

Paul Malone, who managed the cup-winning side, was among those who attended the reunion. Absentees were Vincent Magee, Davy Smyth and Malone’s assistant, Gary Irwin.
