A KIND-HEARTED woman is hoping to reunite a diamond ring with its rightful owner this Christmas.
The woman, who contacted the Times by email, was walking through the car park at ASDA in Larne with her five-year-old daughter a couple of months ago when they found the piece of jewellery.
She said: “The ring is engraved with the initials of a couple and also a date, which puts it at being over 60 years old. This I’m sure is of sentimental value and I hate the thought that an elderly lady could be totally devastated at the loss of something so precious.
The woman is now appealing for anyone who may know who the owner is to come forward, adding: “I have exhausted all other avenues in trying to get it back to its rightful owner. It would be fantastic to reunite the owner and her ring for Christmas.”
