Police to visit schools to reinforce safety message

Police will be visiting post-primary schools in Larne and Carrick to reinforce the dangers of throwing stones at moving vehicles.

The initiative is in response to anti-social behaviour at Harbour Highway, in Larne and Prospect Road, in Carrick, where missiles have struck lorries and cars, including a police vehicle.

The PSNI is also urging parents to take responsibility for their children and speak to them if they are part of the groups involved.

Police have also stated that officers will be present in the areas in question in Larne and Carrick until the problem is resolved.
