Irish international rower Aidan Murray put his sporting career on hold during this year to focus on his A Levels, and that decision has definitely paid off for the St Killian’s College student.

Aidan clinched three A* grades (biology, chemistry and maths) and an A grade (French) in his examinations.

The Larne student will take up a place in Bristol University in September to study medicine.

Aidan is the Irish National Junior double skulls champion and back in February achieved second place in the Dutch International meeting. He is hoping to further his sporting career in line with his academic career.
