LOCAL community groups, schools and charities are being urged to apply to the Big Lottery Fund’s TV-based People’s Millions project.

East Antrim DUP MLA Alastair Ross said four Northern Ireland projects will receive up to £50,000 of funding to inspire, involve and improve their local community.

He added: “I noted the improvements that were made to the play facilities of a West Belfast primary school that received enough public votes to secure funding in this way. I would therefore encourage those groups who are currently looking to attract grants or donations to consider using the scheme by filling out an online entry form at www.peoplesmillions.org.uk/ before the deadline of May 13.”
