The Abbey Singers, under new conductor John Harmar-Smith, will present the sacred oratorio, which was first performed in Dublin in 1742.

Guest organist is Noel Williamson and the choristers will also be joined by soloists Lynda Barrett (soprano), Jenny Bourke (alto), Jack Kinkaid (tenor) and Michael Brown (bass). Trumpet player is Sam Brodison.

The evening begins at 7.30pm and promises to be a fitting start to the celebration of Christmas. For tickets (£10) phone 028 93341200, 93323650 or 93322900.
