The bears are back in town

A LARNE-based band is preparing to launch its music video at a fundraising gig in the town next week.

The Black Bear Saloon, a Northern Irish foursome featuring Larne duo Mike Barr and Russell Crookes, has been making waves lately in the local music scene. For the new single, Face The Future, the band decided to take things to the next level and make a professional video - some of which was shot locally at the Ballyboley Inn.

Filmed by award-winning short film maker, Marty Stalker, the video is based loosely on the tale of Goldilocks and the three bears - with a slightly darker twist - and features gangster bears, special effects, car chases and some impressive live footage of the band in action.
