Plan for new rural dwelling is queried

COUNCILLORS are to be briefed next week on Planning NI’s intention to refuse permission for a new dwelling and garage at Magheramorne.

Larne Borough Council’s public services committee is entitled to seek a deferral before issuing a final decision, if there is new information in the application lodged by Mr and Mrs Workman in relation to a site with an existing access some 35m east of 143 Shore Road.

The Planning NI web site indicates that officials consider it has not been demonstrated that there is an active farm business, adding that there are concerns about road safety.
