Man injured in burglary

Detectives are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in the Bank Road area of Larne on Tuesday, February 26.

Shortly after 11pm, police received a report that two males – one carrying a hammer – forced their way into a house in the area and assaulted the male resident. The man, aged in his 20s, required hospital treatment for his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

One of the culprits is described as being about 6’2” tall, of medium build and the other is described as being taller and also of medium

build. Both were wearing dark coloured clothing.
