Free courses available to Larne women

LOCAL women are being offered the chance to take part in a range of free courses provided by Women's Aid.

Anyone interested in learning about food safety in catering can take part in a new four-week course, with the aim of achieving a level two award. The course starts on Wednesday at Unit 18, Stylux industrial Estate on Lower Waterloo Road, from 10am to 12.30pm.

Also starting on Wednesday is an eight-week course for women affected by domestic violence. Journey to Freedom runs from 7pm to 9pm and also takes place at Unit 18 of Stylux Industrial Estate.

A six-week course called My Life My Choices is also due to take place at Unit 18 at a later date. The course aims to improve people's self-esteem and confidence.

On Thursday, February 18, an eight-week Life Coaching Course kicks off at Oakfield Community Centre in Carrickfergus. The course, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, includes advice on finding the right career, preparing for interviews, stress management and much more.
