Forum vows to give voice to Larne traders
MARIANN Casagrande of Caffe Spice has been re-elected chairman of Larne Traders' Forum for another year.
She received the unanimous support of members at their annual general meeting, which was held at Willowbank last Wednesday evening. John Shannon from Inver Garden Centre was also re-elected vice-chairman for the incoming year.
Members and guests had an opportunity to review the wide range of activities undertaken by the business grouping in the past 12 months which included sponsorship, advertising and promotional campaigns, lobbying, training events, visiting speakers, support for charitable causes and social occasions.
“The forum has over 40 members who are working together to give business a voice in Larne,” said Ms Casagrande. “We are proud of our achievements over the past year and feel that we are making a valuable contribution to creating a positive and successful Larne.
She added: “We would like to thank everyone for their support and look forward to continuing to make connections and lobby for Larne over the coming months.”
Members agreed that they should continue to develop links with Carrickfergus and Ballymena over the next year. They also agreed to work with all those with an interest in the town centre to consider how a town centre partnership might make a difference for Larne.
