Extras needed for new TV show
FILMING is to take place in Magheramamorne quarry later this year for a major new series by TV giants HBO.
It is understood a massive castle is to be constructed in the quarry landscape as part of the film set for Game of Thrones - based on the series of books by George RR Martin - and described as "an epic struggle for power set in a vast and violent fantasy kingdom".
And this SAturday, casting begins for suitable members of the public who would like to be extras in the film. Among those needed are men with long hair and beards and with a swarthy complexion; women with long, dark hair and male and female horse riders who own their own horses.
Also sought are people with "interesting, time-less, unusual and quirky character faces", anyone with "medieval skills" and amputees.
