Could you be a friend to Simon?

THE Simon Community is holding an awareness-raising day on Friday, July 10 at Larne's Murrayfield Shopping Centre.

During this time of economic hardship, growing unemployment and rising prices, many people are facing considerable challenges. The special day is highlighting the need that it is important to be aware that services do exist that can support people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

A warm welcome is extended to anyone who is interested in finding out more about the work of Simon Community and how they can support its work.

Dominick McCormick, Simon Community appeals co-ordinator for the Larne area said:

“As a Friend to Simon you can help us to make a real difference to the lives of homeless people every year.

“By becoming a Friend to Simon and offering some of your time and energy this will help raise awareness of our services and identify new fundraising opportunities for Larne Simon Community. We can make a greater difference in ending homelessness with your help and by working together.”
