Could you be the face of Larne?
HAVE you ever fancied yourself as a hair model?
Well, there's an unbeatable opportunity to start a fantastic new career if you enter the Face of Larne competition.
The event - being run by Haze @ Number 10 - will be held in Broadway on Sunday, December 20 between 2pm and 4pm.
The winner will receive a pair of GHD Irons, 150 of hairdressing vouchers with award-winning Ben Ferris at Haze @ Number 10 and various modelling and promotion contracts over the next year.
The afternoon promises to be quite an event - linking in with the Shop Local, Shop Smart theme of this year's Larne Christmas shopping promotion.
Why not come along and take part yoursef or cheer on your family and friends? One lucky person will be crowned the Face of Larne at the end of the event, and who knows, it could be you.
A festive atmosphere is promised - for instance, there will be a hot chocolate stand and festive mince pies, courtesy of Bake at Broadway.
The minimum age for entry is 17 years old and application forms can be downloaded from www.chainefm.com or come along to Broadway on the day, complete a form and get your photo taken for the first round of the competition.
Hazel Bell, Larne's town development manager, meanwhile, is reminding shoppers to make full use of their free Larne Christmas shopping and events guide.
"The guide includes many ideas and offers from local traders to help you with your Christmas gift list," she said.
