Larne police are appealing for information following the report of a suspicious approach to a child in the Killyglen Link area of Larne on Monday afternoon.
At around 3.20pm a silver car slowed down beside a 10-year-old child walking in the area. The driver, described as male, bald and in his forties, told the child that they were supposed to be coming with him. The child indicated that this was not the case and ran off.
The silver car drove off immediately following the exchange of words.
Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information regarding the identity of the owner or driver of the car to contact them at Larne on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
