His moustache shave, witnessed by family and friends, raised £310.

The Bunting family has been fundraising tirelessly since September to refurbish the playground at the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.

The proceeds of Billy’s charity effort will be added to their total which amounted to £7,000 in December.

Marcus Cooper, fundraising manager, Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from the Bunting family and their family and friends in memory of Rebekah.

“To date, over £7,000 has been raised for our charity which will be used to refurbish the playground area at the children’s hospice.”

“Billy’s donation demonstrates how something so simple can be effective at fundraising. It is fundraising such as this which has allowed the overall total to grow and enabled us to carry out much needed work to our playground”.
