Woman double the drink drive limit

A woman was arrested in Larne for drink driving offences last night.

Detailing the incident, Sgt Lowry said: “A vehicle was stopped on the Linn Road and a road side breath test was carried out on the female driver. It indicated the driver was over the limit and she was arrested. An evidential breath test was carried out in custody, which showed she was double the drink drive limit. She has been charged to court.

“The message is clear, don’t drink and drive! When you get caught drink driving you can expect to be disqualified from driving for at least 12 months and possibly receive a fine in court.”
