Shanes Castle to host Irish Game Fair 2016
This year there is an extra emphasis on fun for all the family, as well as something special for countrysports enthusiasts. The event will be staged over Saturday, June 25 and Sunday 26.
Fair Director Albert Titterington said: “We have a truly international game fair planned, with the biggest ever fine food festival and a truly spectacular living history village. With day-long entertainment in three arenas I can guarantee something for all ages to enjoy, along with special competitions, hundreds of trade stands and much more for country sports for enthusiasts.”

Kids can even meet some medieval knights and ladies as they prepare for battle, as horses gallop, swords clash and knights joust on horseback. Why not step back in time as we recreate part of the Battle of Antrim.
“It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to time travel hundreds of years and still be back in time for everything else on offer at Shanes Castle.”
Food lovers will be able to see and sample at the fine food festival, which showcases the very best of local and international cuisine.
Albert concluded: “The tented village has over 200 quality trade stands with exhibitors from the United Kingdom and Ireland, and each will have at least one special ‘Game Fair bargain’ at a specially reduced price.
