Larne family's cancer fundraising walk

All money raised by the McKeown family and other participants on Saturday June 4 will fund Friends of the Cancer Centre’s life-saving and life-changing projects, which directly benefit local cancer patients.

Speaking ahead of the ten-mile walk, Gillian McKeown commented: “Friends of the Cancer Centre was there for me and my family when my father attended the Cancer Centre and the charity does such amazing work to support local cancer patients, so to be able to help support them in memory of my dad is really important me.

“I would encourage everyone to get the family together and sign up for this year’s walk.

“Not only will you have a great day out, but you will also be helping support local cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland.”
