The park’s new “refreshed sub brand” is part of the ongoing normalisation of the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council brand across the three legacy council areas.

According to a council report, the popular attraction’s new logo “brings the design into line with the corporate parent brand and font, and has allowed for retention of the park’s existing identity, which has been modernised and refreshed.”

As part of the roll-out of the new brand throughout the borough, the report states that the majority of legacy council boundary signs will remain but will be given a “newly branded vinyl overlay in order to manage the potentially high cost of full replacement.”

An additional boundary sign has been included for Larne Harbour, with the site being identified along the dual carriageway leaving the harbour.

Town and village signage rebranding will commence with areas and villages going forward to the Ulster in Bloom and Britain in Bloom competitions. Town and village signage logo replacement is expected to be complete by the end of December 2016.

Additionally, elected members and senior council officers now have branded clothing, including coats, ties and ladies’ scarves.

In terms of the rebranding of council buildings, council headquarters at the Braid will be prioritised, with the remainder of council buildings addressed according to the extent of brand visibility. The report says that this will continue through to March 2018 and possibly into 2018/19. Council vehicles are being examined to determine which are suitable for rebranding and the format for each one.
