Rescuer Tyler Dobbin and a friend took in the small animal, a mixed breed terrier with a white and gold coat, after seeing him alone on the local mountain route.

Despite knocking on doors along the Shane’s Hill Road, the pair was unable to reunite the pooch with his owner.

“He had a brown collar on but was not microchipped as we took him to Gleno Vets to check,” Tyler told the Times.

“He is very well fed and tempered, very used to people but not so much other dogs so we think he is owned by a person, potentially on their own.

“We feel he is definitely a pet with the way he gets on and want to get him reunited with his owner.

“We checked every house on Shane’s Hill Road and no-one even recognised him.”

If you own the little dog or know who does, please give Tyler a call on 07710611697.
