Three Larne fire fighters have been awarded for their longstanding service.

Alistair Carmichael, Marty Bagchus and Ricky Kelly have been presented with the Fire Brigades’ Union 25-year membership badges.

A lapel pin was handed over recently by John Catterwood, regional chairman, of the Retained Service.

On Saturday (March 4), Larne Fire Station will be hosting a road safety evemt at Broadway, between noon and 2.00 pm.

This event will be an opportunity to discuss road safety issues.

Visitors will be able to view equipment used by the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescye Service at a collision.

A spokesperson said: “We believe every road death is one too many.”
