After being held at St Columba’s Church of Ireland last year, it was Gleno Orange Hall’s turn to host the annual divine service organised by the Flower of the Valley RBP 79 and Donald’s Purple Heroes LOL 517.

Led by Killyglen Accordion Band and Larne District Marshall Tommy Marcus, the procession left Gleno Dairy making its way up past the waterfalls, before turning into the village and into the Orange Hall.

The marchers included Sir Kt Ronnie Nelson, County Registrar and from Larne LOL No 1, Wor District Master Harry Carter; Deputy District Master David Swann and Chaplain Ian Wilson.

The service was conducted by Rev William Moody.

The readings were by Bros Sam Robinson and James Strange, with James also acting as organist.

The collection, in aid of LEMOS, was taken by Sam Robinson, DM LOL 517 and Andrew McAllister WM RBP 79.

Captain HB Woods, WM LOL 517 expressed thanks to the visiting Sir Knights and brethern, Killyglen Accordion Band, the readers, collectors, organist and everyone who helped in any way to make the event a success.

The return route saw the marchers make their way down the hill and through the picturesque Gleno Village before dispersing back at the dairy.
