Power NI has donated money to Roddensvale School as part of its staff sponsorship scheme, Helping Hands In The Community.

Deane Reid from the energy firm nominated the local school to receive the money, allowing them install a soft play ball pool for the children, providing a safe and stimulating sensory play experience.

Deane said: “I am very pleased that Roddensvale School has been able to fund this play area due to the financial support received from Power NI’s Helping Hands scheme. The scheme is a great boost for staff because we can give something back to our local communities and it was great to see how it stimulated the children and filled them with energy.”

School principal John Madden added: “The kind donation from Power NI is greatly appreciated. On behalf of everyone here at the school, a big thank-you must go to Deane and Power NI for making this happen.

“We also give acknowledgement to the Parents and Friends Association for their contribution towards this facility”
