Floral welcome forcaravan park visitors

Mid and East Antrim Mayor Councillor Paul Reid who viewed the display said: “It is great to see young people from the local primary school making their Borough a more beautiful place to live in.

“This horticultural activity will hopefully give them a real sense of civic pride for the area they live in.

“I would like to thank all the children for their hard work and effort; they have created a beautiful display and have done their bit to make Larne more attractive for all the community, as well as visitors to the area and tourists.”

Mr Livingston, principal of Olderfleet Primary School, said: “Olderfleet Primary School were delighted to plant floral displays at Curran Caravan Park.

“Our primary fives got involved and had a great morning choosing their favourite flowers and planting them out.

“The entrance is now much improved and we hope our pupils, their families and the wider community will enjoy the floral displays this summer and for years to come.”

Mid and East Antrim will be judged in the Ulster in Bloom competition in July this year.

Local residents can do their bit by filling a hanging basket, installing a bird box or simply keeping their garden tidy.
