Larne High School is celebrating a landmark anniversary with celebrations getting underway tomorrow (Thursday) with a family fun day.

The school will throw open its doors to the whole community with an invitation to come along on June 22 between 2.00 pm and 7.00 pm.

The fun day is the first in a series of events aimed at celebrating the school’s 60th anniversary.

Visitors to the school can take part in zorbing, bubble football, bungee runs, climbing towers as well as face painting, tuck shops, Domino’s pizza, car boot sale, stalls and much more.

The school says: “We look forward to celebrating this significant milestone with pupils past and present and their friends and families over the coming months.

“The school continues to thrive as it approaches its 60th anniversary in September 2017.

Numbers are again increasing and the pupils continue to do their school and their families proud.

“Examination results are at an all-time high and the range of opportunities for pupils to develop their skills and knowledge beyond the classroom is extensive - from sport and art to music and Formula One.”

If anyone is interested in having a stall at the event, you can purchase a table for £10 or bring your car and take part in a car boot sale for £5. Please contact Mrs Atkinson on 02828272159 for further details.
