Safe stolen during Larne burglary

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a business premises at Exchange Road, Larne.

The break-in is believed to have occurred between 5.00 pm on Thursday June 8 and 9.10 am on Friday June 9.

The premises was ransacked and a safe stolen after thieves forced a side door to gain entry.

Constable Mellon said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact Larne Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 219 of the 09/06/17.

“Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
