A GLITTERING gala evening has celebrated the excellent entrepreneurship and commercial enterprise that exists within the Larne business community.

The 2012 Larne Business Awards - hosted by the Larne Times - were held in the elegant surroundings of the newly-renovated Larne Town Hall on Thursday, October 11.

Compere for the event was Jamie Delargy, UTV’s business correspondent, who introduced several guest speakers before awards were presented to the winners of 14 different categories.

Special guests for the evening were Finance Minister and East Antrim MP, Sammy Wilson, and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Investment, Arlene Foster, who both addressed the gathering made up of guests from throughout the borough’s business community.

Following the formal part of the evening, entertainment was provided by comedian William Caulfield.
