INTEREST is gathering rapidly for THE big business event of the year - the Larne Business Awards.

Hosted by the Larne Times in association with Larne Borough Council and associated sponsors Larne Skills Development, the awards are aimed at recognising the talent, entrepreneurship and excellence that exists across the full range of businesses and commerce in the area.

The awards pay homage to the long history of individual and collective industry upon which Larne has taken root and flourished and the companies whicb carry on those traditions today.

The 14 award categories cover all aspects of business and industry, giving the opportunity to enter one or more categories.

There’s just a short time now to get your nominations in, so who do you feel should get a pat on the back?

It really couldn’t be easier to nominate a business. To enter, simply complete the entry form (available from the Larne Times office c/o Hampson Estates, Dunluce Street or by phoning Julie Bailie on 028 3839 5504. email julie.bailie@jpress.co.uk) with all the information asked for.

A business can enter more than one award category but each entry must be submitted on a separate entry form,

The form should include a summary of the reasons why the business should be the winner by paying particular attention to the criteria against which the award will be judged.

So, if you have had excellent service from a local business, know someone who has contributed to the business life of the borough or a firm that has excelled over the years, why not give them the praise they deserve.

The judging process will be carried out by an independent judging panel with some awards also going to a public vote via the Larne Times.

All completed forms should be returned to the Larne Times, c/o Hampson Estates, Dunluce Street, Larne, BT30 1JG.

The awards are being run in conjunction with a number of category sponsors - these include LEDCOM, the Port of Larne / P&O Ferries; Forever Living Products; Invest NI and Northern Regional College.
