More than 30 people attended the latest in the series of vital business seminars organised by Larne Development Forum and LEDCOM and sponsored by Larne Borough Council on Friday 16 November 2012 at Larne Leisure Centre.
The topic was “Network to Getwork – Building your business through effective networking”.
Speaking before the event, the chairman of Larne Development Forum, Councillor Martin Wilson, said: “Networking is a vital aspect of marketing and promoting your business, providing opportunity for face-to-face contact with potential customers and suppliers.
“In these days of economic challenge, people need to take every opportunity to meet others to talk about their business and to identify new market opportunities.”
The speaker was Bill Manson of Podiem Ltd.
This was the second event in the series of business seminars funded by Larne Borough Council and organised through Larne Development Forum.
Future monthly seminars are planned up to July 2013 and will cover topics such as sales and marketing, using the internet to maximise sales, tax allowances for small businesses, trading in the Irish Republic, trading in China, and pensions and investments for the self-employed.
The next planned breakfast seminar is on Friday 7 December at Willowbank Rural Conference Centre, Millbrook, when the speaker will be Valerie Brown of True Channel, who will address the subject “Grow your sales volume and value through effective marketing “
