Broadband survey needs data frombusiness and homes

Carrick businesses and householders are being urged to take part in a survey of broadband speeds which is due to close on December 7

Mid and East AntrimCouncil says the district is first in the queue to receive investment in better broadband but needs accurate data from the borough.

Mayor Councillor Audrey Wales MBE, said: “I would encourage everyone to submit their readings this week, so that the Department for the Economy can prioritise where to improve or extend superfast broadband in Mid and East Antrim.”

“We need to know if local residents and businesses are getting the broadband speeds they should be getting.

“Good internet access is vitally important for our local businesses and is a key requirement in attracting foreign direct investment to the Borough.
