LARNE Leisure Centre is to host competitions in the fifth World Dwarf Games.
From Monday, July 27 to Sunday, August 2, more than 200 athletes of restricted growth from 15 countries will take part in nine sports. Many of the competitors are already paralympians and will be using their times at the Games for 2012.

The Northern Ireland team includes 15-year-old David Kelly and Amy Kennedy, 13, both from Newtownabbey.

Swimming events will take place in Larne, while athletics will be hosted at the Mary Peters track and the rest of the events at UUJ.
