‘Being a Christian is not boring,’ says Bobby Ball

well-known comedian Bobby Ball is to share his faith at a special event taking place in Glenarm Presbyterian Church on Friday, February 17.

Bobby - half of Cannon and Ball, one of Britain’s most successful comedy acts - became a Christian in 1986 at the height of his professional career.

He now uses his gifts as a comedian to speak boldly on real issues in simple ways that are easily understood and his enthusiasm for God shines through.

He takes four months out of his schedule every year to tour with a gospel show and speak at various venues to spread the word.

Bobby’s aim is to “show that God’s love and forgiveness is for real and available to everyone who reaches out and opens their heart to Him”.

“I want to show people that being a Christian is not boring. In fact it’s the opposite, It’s great!” said Bobby.

“God wants us to have fun, laugh and enjoy this wonderful life he has given us, because he has given us eternal life through his son Jesus.

“I want people to see that God does care and he can fill any gaps in our lives through his son Jesus Christ,” he said.

Bobby has been sharing his faith at events and churches around the United Kingdom since 1995 and churches have reported that lives have been changed as a result.

The special night of worship and testimony will be in Glenarm Presbyterian Church at 8pm on Friday, February 17 and in 2nd Broughshane church hall on Saturday, February 18 at 8pm.

An offering will be lifted in aid of Glenarm church funds.

A spokesman for the congregation suggested that due to limited street parking in Glenarm, it would be advisable for those attending to park in the marina car park and walk the short distance to the church.
