New Yorker seeking Irvine-Beggs connections

SIR, I would like to make contact with descendants of my Co Antrim-born great-grandmother's relatives.
Her name was Mary Ellen Irvine and her parents were Andrew Irvine and Nancy Agnes Beggs. It seems they went to Ontario, Canada, some time in 1844.

After years of searching I have found that I think could be Mary's baptism record in an index at the Public Records Office for Northern Ireland. The index of baptisms at First Ballyeaston, 1821-1923 registers a Mary Erwin, who was born on June 4, 1841. Her father was Andrew and her mother Agnes (Beggs), Ballynasheee.

I know that in Canada the Irvine name is sometimes spelt as Erwin, or Irwin and sometimes as Irving. Many people couldn't read or write and relied on others to write their names.

Andrew may have had a brother David who came to Canada at an earlier date and married a Sarah Whiteford before going there.

If by any chance someone knows anything about these people, could they please write to me. I look forward to hearing from anyone.

David Rice,
332 Chan Aldrich Road,
South Plymouth, NY
