Mark on song for choral residential

A LARNE singer has been selected to take part in the prestigious Ulster Youth Choir Summer Residential Course.

Mark Tilley will attend the week-long training programme at Garron Tower, Carnlough, which is designed to develop choir members’ vocal and performance skills.

And to assist him with costs for taking part in the scheme, Larne Council has awarded Mark a grant of £250. The course takes place from August 11-18, and will be followed by a series of performances that are open to the public.

The Ulster Choir is made up of especially talented singers between the ages of 14-24, who are all selected by audition.
