READERS are being asked to help reunite a woman with her estranged father.

Kerry Cane contacted the Larne Times by email seeking information about Robert Gowdy, who is aged 55-65.

She said: “I lost contact with him over 20 years ago. He lived in Newcastle UponTyne for some of his adult life and he may still be there, but I know his family were born and raised in Larne.

“He is the son of Charlie and Irene Gowdy and brother of Kyle, John and Graham. He may have more brothers and sisters but these are the names I remember. His birthday is on November 19.

“I turned 30 last year and got married, and I would really like to make contact with him or some of his family.”
